Amber Lauer, Assistant to the CCO (Chief Canine Officer)
"I know we help clients with things that are complicated and make their financial lives easier, and I am really glad to be there for them."
Why did you choose this vocation?
It started when I flew from Pennsylvania to Washington. Then Taeya and the kids picked me up at the airport and next thing I knew I was the assistant to the Chief Canine officer, Cinder. I am also supposed to be her companion and not bite her ears too much.
Why do you love working with Pacific Coast Financial Services?
Well this is just the greatest job there is. It comes with a walk first thing in the morning with the team, then some ball throwing in the office, talking with clients on that zoom thing, and taking naps. I know we help clients with things that are complicated and make their financial lives easier, and I am really glad to be there for them.
What is the best part of your job?
Working in the family business is a dream come true. Labs are working dogs and we really are happier when we have a job to do. I am still learning the ropes, but what I like best so far is making everyone laugh with the goofy things I do. I am also really good at fetching things, so if you need me to get something from the other room for you, I am your gal. I will leave the analytical stuff to Cinder and Taeya for now.
Career background and education
I am still in training, so I will have to get back to you on how my education turns out. So far Cinder and Taeya are trying to mentor me along and I am sure it will work out great!
Personal Interests?
My personal interests include collecting sticks and rocks when we go on walks. I leave them on the porch because you aren’t supposed to have them in the house. I just learned to swim and I love it. Taeya is trying to teach me to run with her, but sometimes I just jump up and down and forget to go forward. That’s okay, as long as you work hard and have a positive attitude, everything will turn out okay.
Certifications, Accreditations, and Licensees
Well I have passed the temperament test at both Camp Crocket and Unleashed so I can go there and play with other dogs, does that count? I think there is a city pet license on my collar, let me check with Cinder and get back to you on this one too.
