Annie Higgins, Research & Communications Associate
“Financial planning can feel very overwhelming and helping people gain confidence with this important part of their life is hugely satisfying to me. I like to believe that when we enable someone to have peace in their lives financially, it enables them to live their best lives.”
I earned my Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts at the University of Texas in Austin. For the first 7 years of my career, I was in corporate fundraising for the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast and King County. I transitioned into Human Resources for Safeco and worked for 7 years in various roles there. I spent several years out of the workforce so I could focus on raising my sons. During these years I got heavily involved in the PTAs in their schools as well as some other local non-profits. Most recently, I worked as an On-Call Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones before coming to work at Pacific Coast.
WHY SHE LOVES WORKING AT PACIFIC COAST
I love that we can help clients with their entire financial landscape – from overall financial planning to actual strategizing on the best investments that will help them reach their goals. As a boutique firm, we’re small enough to be able to focus on each client individually and tailor a unique plan to meet their needs. Further, because we develop our own portfolios, rather than rely on huge corporate operations and computer models to do that for us, this means we are actively and consistently engaged in managing our client’s investments – and meeting and exceeding their expectations as a result.
I’m an avid fan of whatever sport my sons are playing – and it seems like they’ve pretty much tried them all! I love to sing and am a member of the Seattle Metropolitan Singers. In my leisure time, I am making sure that my crazy dog and I both get enough exercise.
